Amethyst & Agate Geode Cathedral, 4.9 kg

This tall geode cathedral is wrapped in a dark natural rind and lined with bands of blue-gray agate that sweep around the opening. Inside, a deep, shadowy cavity of crystals rises above sparkling clusters of clear quartz and a sculptural agate ridge at the base. It's a dramatic natural sculpture for a mantel, bookshelf or office.

The specimen in the photo weighs 4.90 kg according to its label. Each geode is shaped by nature, so no two are alike. Amethyst is the birthstone for February.
